Our Story

Three generations of passion, tradition, and innovation

The Lumière Legacy

In 1952, Henri Lumière arrived in wine country with nothing but a dream and an unwavering passion for winemaking. What started as a modest 20-acre plot has grown into one of the region's most respected vineyards, spanning 150 acres of pristine terroir.

Henri's son, Marcel, took over operations in 1978, introducing sustainable farming practices and expanding our varietal offerings. Under his guidance, Château Lumière earned its first international recognition, establishing our reputation for exceptional quality.

Today, Marcel's daughter Sophie continues the family tradition while embracing modern winemaking techniques. Her innovative approach, combined with respect for our heritage, has elevated Château Lumière to new heights of excellence.
